This hot plate is compact and goodlooking but it stopped working after boiling water only one time

The light did go onoff while it was heating but im guessing it just had some sort of internal regulator that caused it to shut off for a few seconds when it got too hot

Ive used other single burners and at some temperature they just turn off and you have to wait a few minutes to get it to turn on again
