Plus we had a great view of manhattan from our bedroom that was just a hop away with the free staten island ferry it’s the one that appears in the new spiderman film… and it passes in front of the statue of liberty wow

We were looking forward to visiting the harbor house after viewing the pictures and talking to the manager but when we got there no one was there to welcome us

When we entered the room it was dirty with light bulbs missing cupboard doors broken not one utensil in site not even a glass to have a drink of water the stove was unplugged and no electrical outlet to have it plugged in

We phoned the manager to voice our displeasure and to let him know we could not stay for obvious reasons

To our surprise he charged us for a nights stay even though we didnt even spend an hour there and he had agreed not to charge us since we did in fact turn up at the place but due to the deplorable conditions we couldnt stay
