My daughter and i arrived at the abbey court hotel notting hill with a 23 kg suitcase and a heavy cabin bag checked in to be told our room was on the top floor and there was no one to carry our cases up

The city view description is inaccurate as this window has a white wall only inches outside it covering more than half the window

I asked for another room to be told there wasn’t another twin room

There is no lift in the property as it’s an old building

I was mostly out and about so i didn’t get to use their dining room or common rooms but the entire place was clean and straight out of a victorian book

Also the keys are old school turn keys and my neighbors seemed to have issues navigating that
