This taste exactly how I would expect. It tasted like mushrooms, turmeric and a slight latte. I drink turmeric tea a lot and I can see turning people away if they are not use to the taste. It isn't going to be sweet and the taste is pretty earthy since it is mushroom flavored. But I enjoyed it, plus I don't know the health benefits of mushrooms but turmeric has alot of great health benefits.  Read Less

Like many here, I received 3 packets of the Golden Latte mix in my Play box. I prepared my first packet as instructed, mixed with 7 oz. of hot water. It had a pleasant flavor, but the grainy texture left much to be desired. Prepared it tonight on the stove with 7 oz. of unsweetened Vanilla almond milk - YUM! Now we're talking ;) It has a unique but pleasant flavor - the best comparison I can think of is a buttery squash soup with a bit of pepper. Like, it's got some savory flavor from the turmeric and pepper, but is mildly sweet at the same time. Make sure you use a dark mug - tumeric stains and can leave yellow marks on your white China! I heated the milk on the stove in a small sauce pan, stirred the packet in once the milk was hot (stir WELL), then poured into a mug. A real treat. As for effectiveness, I can't speak for how this exact drink is "beautifying" me after a mere 2 servings, but I have had turmeric teas in the past and they DO work. :) This one happens to be especially tasty, using all-natural ingredients with no sugar/caffeine/flavor enhancing chemicals.  Read Less
