Pros
Just a solid, 16-port, unmanaged gigabit switch at a reasonable price. Purchased over a month ago, replacing a linksys 8 port 100mb switch. Works wonderfully so far.
This one does it right, the lights are steady on when connected, and just blink off super-fast when there's a packet. I do like that the lights flash with the data tranfers, vs being static. I have my on it's side with the supplied feet at the bottom.... Read More
For the price point, it is a fantastic value. Small and easy to use.
I love that the switch includes no fan as it's perfectly silent. Awesome switch with minimal power draw and great speeds.
The gs1100-16 is a sturdy, little switch. Works perfectly in my homemade server rack. Would recommend for anyone with an av rack like me.

Even with the name and model on the power supply itself they are non existent

A few days later with the new switch in hand i removed the old switch and the zyxel 16port switch

I own about 10 zyxel products mostly routers and i have to say ive had the best luck with their brand
I searched amazon and found the zyxel 1g switch and ordered it id had good experiences with zyxel equipment in the past

In spite of protection downstream of a good ups there was a power surge sufficient to damage a few bits of electronics in the house and this was one of them
