Pros
Works like a champ! It does what it was made to do & good at it too.
Always like zwilling. At discounted price (as i bought it) it is (pardon the pun) a steal.
Cons
The movement is very hobbling and the knife doesn't really feel any different. Utterly useless bit of kit. Did not sharpen my knife in the slightest.

I tested it on a 10year old henckels knife that was still serviceable but with a blade that clearly needed attention

Most ive used have only the former and not the latter

You can see in the photo that i was easily able to cut a sheet of paper with it after a few strokes of the metal followed by the ceramic elements

It does feel a little cheap id have expected something a bit more solid feeling for this kind of money

Also its difficult to use without catching the plastic surrounding the sharpening elements

From a design perspective i would have liked to see the slots flared and slightly wider at the top to help guide the blade in more easily

I agree that blades after beeing sharpened by this they feel a bit like a saw blade not smooth has i expected
