Called tech support and he quickly picked up that the input had gotten changed from analog audio to bluetooth

He said it happens all the time as people mistakenly hit the input button

I had programed my universal remote to mimic most all of the zvox remote commands but not the input button

So then the tech said you may have some remote commands that are close enough to trigger it

My suspicion is that there are certain power down situations that will trigger an input switch
