Healthier for the bird. Amazon just makes it more convenient getting it through petco.

Cons

The alpha male requires weighted metal dog dishes as he will successfully dump what he does not like unto the floor. The quality of the food seems poor. These pellets are more porus and more seems to go in the cage and not in the bird.
