The little rubber on them definitely holds the clothes in place and the plastic is really strong not one hanger has broken on me and not one piece of clothing has fallen after hanging on them

The have the notch were you can slide the the clothes into in order to get the other side of the shirt on it without stretching the collar

The hanger tops do rotate but you have to twist hard to get them started the first time
