The only real ding for me and this is true of pretty much everything in the zwave ecosystem is that its so expensive for what it is

They also provided a custom device handler nice but not necessary as the device will work right out of the box

Competitiveness

Paired easily and works as said with smartthings hub

Cant speak to longevity but it seems to be working well so far and it was easy to set up with my smartthings hub

I have old zwave plugs which are 5 or 6 years old and work just fine but when i put this zooz plug in place of one of them it will not work

With a 500series zwave chip i would have liked to see support for s2authenticated
