Pros & Cons

Pros

Soft enough that you can bend the tips a bit when fitting the balls into the sockets, but not soft enough to easily bend. At 6 years old he can occupy himself with them!

Each color snaps together in a slightly different way, allowing for very versatile engineering. He sometimes needs help snapping them together without knocking off parts he has already put together.

Set has enough to get you going, but be prepared to purchase add-ons. Allows my son to channel some of his destructive behavior into a more creative outlet. He now keeps the set hidden in his room so his siblings can't get to it.

Bought it for my after school program. The pieces are very versatile. Would buy or gift.

Cons

Some of the connections they propose to build some of the structures just don't work or are not stable enough to use especially ones where there are three blocks extending off the one end of a block. The instructions are almost worthless.

Quality

We had one small issue with the set

The children ask to create with the zoobs every day

Thankfully that is different with the zoob kit

I would even say creativity is more encouraged with zoobs

Competitiveness

Bought this set for my 6 year old grandsonhe shares it with his brother and they loved it

When it arrived i was also skeptical that my 4 yo would be able to use these

However weve made tons of different things from these and my 4 yo got the hang of putting them together and pulling them apart pretty quickly

Posted by a reviewer on Amazon

They snap together and come apart easily

Ive read reviews of adults trying them out and saying the pieces are hard to put together or understand how to fit the different notches together and saying theres not much you can really create or the instructions are to difficult to follow

Posted by a reviewer on Amazon

He doesnt even follow the diagrams or directions and with his small hands and fingers he can put the pieces together easily to create amazing 34creatures34

Posted by a reviewer on Amazon

I like the plastic container the zoobs come in but its hard to take the lid off and a bin is better for storing the creatures for a time determined by my son once they are put together

These little things have withstood the test of boredom
