The cover on the ejector pit had rusted out and had to be replaced

So i figured it would be easier to replace the pump now than later after it fails and the pit is full of sewage

The old pump worked great except one thing the float lost its buoyancy after about ten years and had to be replaced

Maybe zoeller needs to consider getting rid of this style float and adopt the mercurytype float

The float is made out of a hard plastic and i could see no way for it to absorb water over the years

But if the new one holds up as long as the old one i may not be around when it fails

As for the rest there was no packing slip or receipt in the box nor was there any warranty card
