Pros & Cons
Pros
The zoeller is the defacto standard when it comes to sewage pumps. It has a built in shutoff float and switch. The effluent port is threaded for a 2 inch abs threaded male hub. My sump pump works constantly, even in a drought.
The zoeller is made of cast iron and normally lasts for about 30 years. The manufacturer date on the product was 10/2018 (purchased 12/2018), so i get to enjoy the full 3 year warranty. Nothing has been spared.
Cons
Lasted 2 months as a sewage pump for my basement bathroom. They seem to expire shortly after the warranty. Failed 5 months after installation.
The impeller wasn't actually stuck, and playing with it showed that when (carefully) giving it a nudge while the motor was powered eventually made the impeller move. Usually it pumps for a few seconds then shuts off.
I hope this is just an unfortunate one that just had a short life. Not happy about that. Very disappointed. Shame on you.
