I'm no carpenter but chuffed with how this all went! Easy to fit,as have used zip fxings on 2 different jobs. Tolerances for drilling recess of the key hole fixture and drill depth in rail have to be perfect.

I purchased a 25mm flat drill to do the job but that had a long pilot tip on it which would have broken through the top of the handrail if i went straight to the required depth

Instead i had to start the hole with this and then switch and use a hole saw withouth the arbour bit installed to get the hole to the correct depth

Then it was just a case of chipping out the plug of wood left from inside the rail
