The color looks a lot better after you get the wood butter soft from sanding. I have to say there was a difference in color between the inner rings and the darker outer rings.
It is extraordinarily effective in its intended use, especially if it is reapplied. My only complaint is that the a solution seems to evaporate quickly and i end up having to use more of it. Wear gloves, goggles and mask for protection.
After wet sanding epoxy or acrylic resins to 2000 grit, this system brings out a show-room surface. Not only does it take the red out of red oak, it also removes the tannin (natural darkening) of pine. This stuff works, even on cedar wood.

So now i have an extra box and no desire to ever refinish another piece of furniture
