Pros & Cons
Pros
Zinsser oil primer sealer goes on smoothly with a brush and leaves no brush marks after it drys. True, it is very stinky until fully cured, which is about a day or two. This is my go-to paint for priming bare wood on deck where paint has come up.
Cons
Only reason for 1* was leaked during shipment and was not usable. Amazon says it is not returnable.

Save yourself time and throw away the paint brush so you don't have to go through the messy ritual of cleaning up after using an oil based paint.

I'm not knocking off any stars for this because it is the nature of the beast but please be aware that this has very strong fumes - i've dealt with oil paints/stains before and was still caught a little off guard by it.

Also, with oil anything, you're gonna have a bad time with clean up if you're used to water/latex paints, so keep that in mind as well.

Being oil-based, it is smelly until dry and messy to clean up.

Smells terrible but covered the water stain on my ceiling.

We had water stained floorboards and we had painted them three or four times and the stains still showed through.
