Its well built so i dont expect any problems from rain etc but i wouldnt submerge it

My only gripe if i have to have one is that the remote has to be pointed at the front of the light to change the settings

Im not talking about when they are simply powered off using the remote but you can totally unplug these and leave them for weeks and when power is reapplied they come back on with the same settings they had

And reversely when you keep pushing the fade button it slows down the flashing

These two functions are completely dependent on what mode you are in by pushing the flash button

Either way other than the on and off buttons nothing that is wrote on those buttons do what you think they are supposed to do

The big positive once you push about a zillion random buttons to get the desired effect you like it will stay on that setting even if you turn it off and unplug it
