You can actually use the compression when tightening to a jig to take up any micro amount of slop left and it leaves you with a zero play jig

The leading nose of one of the bars had a crack in it where the threaded inserts go

Thankfully so careful application of super glue and clamping returned the bar to full function

On this same note the insructions say to use 2 nickles to elevate the bars slightly within the track
