The unit is a lot smaller than expected when you change the tips it appears that the element is ceramic and the digital temperature control is on point when you turn the knob it shows the temperature you want it to be at then while it is heating the lcd displays the actual temperature

So far very solid unit and although ive only just begun to use it if any problems arise down the road i will update the review but as of now it looks like this definitely makes spending 80 on a comparable weller seem like a silly decision

I did find that it needed calibration it was about 40c off

That’s a no no luckily this one doesn’t and is fully grounded to the tip
