This is a lens i have been salivating over for a couple of years. This lens exceeds all expectations.

The pristine detail is mind boggling. Images are sharp, colorful, with amazing dof and nice blurred background. Zeiss understands this to be an image maker, not a deal breaker as they have kept the favorable (subtle) aspects of this flaw.

The build quality of this lens is peerless. It has a sturdy build, and i especially appreciate the fact that the lens hood was metal; perhaps a superficial point to harp on.

Cons

The language of the warranty, instruction manual, and all accomanying literature was in an asian language, i believe japanese. Here is information about the zeiss warranty as i have copied and pasted it.
