Pros

The sponge fits perfectly over my 10-20 gallon aqua-clear hang-over-back filter intake tube. It fit perfectly over the output valve without any modifications.

The sponge doesn't reek of noxious chemicals. It's good as the first step of filtration. I just rinse it in the same aquarium water before i dump it out when i do my water changes.
