I purchased this hdmi splitter to run off a separate hdmi switch we have so i can run the signal off to both the tv and a little capture device i use to record some older game play footage
The switcher itself feels super solid with the entire case made of an aluminum shell
There isnt much in the way of buttons or controls or anything since it is just a splitter though there is a small reset button in case anything glitches out or something
It does use a separate wall plug to power the splitter but its a pretty low profile box that plugs in and the connectors on the same side of the splitter as the hdmi cables so it keeps the wiring all pretty tidy once its all set up
