The inside pops out so you can put it in the dishwasher i wouldnt use high heat or drying function because its plastic and you wouldnt want any chemicals to leach into your kids food although this might be bpa free plastic is made up of other unstudied chemicals

Cons the twopiece design means that the tray gets washed separately from the lid

Also one of the yumboxes i bought doesnt have perfect fit meaning that sometimes when my kid opens her lunch the tray comes out of the container coming unseated from the bottom
