First the sliding closure on the lid does not seal it just covers if the tumbler is knocked over the contents will come out slowly

Second the lid is difficult at best to dismantle for thorough cleaning so if you use it for things that tend to get into the nooks and crannies and make a sticky mess like a latte for example youre not going to be happy with the results

Most doublewall stainless vacuum insulated containers rely on a sealant at the joint between the main body and the bottom cap and anything that causes this sealant to be sheared or pulled away from the metal will result if loss of the insulating vacuum
