Pros

The base and legs are wimpy but will get you started. I’d also recommend a wood holder that is removable for the bottom arm of the machine. You need it to be removable for when you sew shoes or bags.

Sharp hook on the bobbin shuttle slices the thread (which is in the eye of the needle) every. Not a single stitch.

Excellent value for the money and seller backs his product

Fit finishin general the chrome plating quality is poor with much peeling missed spots contaminated surface not prepped and uneven

Overall finish quality is relatively poor but if you are willing to do some work yourself they are a great value

It is incredibly picky and hard to deal with but i wouldn’t trade it for anything given the price

The large cell expanded styrene falls apart in shipping especially with heavy cast iron product

Competitiveness

I sewed through 3 layers of 8oz leather which is a total of 38 thick without difficulty

I give it a 4 because after the kinks are worked out its a sweet little machine for the price

I also retapped screw holes and found better hardware

Not to bad that said you should plan on a bit of tweeking
