It’s a magnet so if your fridge isn’t stainless you could stick it high enough up there out of the reach of the kids but my fridge doesn’t do magnets so a keychain loop would be nice

Perhaps 1 caveat the template is a little loose in tolerance so you might use it to get a rough placement idea then scoot the latch closer to the striker plate

I have found that for my cabinet drawers in the kitchen and bathrooms and at desk in the bedrooms these don’t work

I also found out after 3 failed magnetic locks that the magnetic locks don’t work on the cabinets under my induction stove top

I got these so that our child doesnt open the cabinets and pinch their fingers or get into something they shouldnt be getting in to
