Pros
Each contributor selects a book, tells a personal story and the way the book impacted their life. Steven covey has the unique privilege of being included as a contributor.
The book is inspiring and uplifting. It is succinct, not a story per se, but a short biographical explanation of what inspired these inspirational people. Many of the books mentioned are classics.

I think this book is more about self-promotion (not necessarily only their own) than great-book promotion.

Id rather have some amazing authors think markus zusak neil gaiman alice munro stephen king jon krakauer tell me a story about a book that changed their life than learn from the author of a selfhelp book that a book that changed his or her life was also a

But its the others that interest me and again a better book would be a book about authors with amazing talents not those who just sell a lot of book those categories are not necessarily related who are willing to share the title of a book that changed his or her life
