This is not a yoyo for beginners, but more advanced players will like it. Bought this as an intermediate responsive yo to work my way into more advanced tricks. Our kids love them for learning basic tricks.
They are quite seasoned yo-yo-ers and we’re able to enjoy them immediately. It’s heavy and durable. Doesn't not feel flimsy.
It sleeps so long my husband (yes it was for a grown man for christmas) loves it. The butterfly design makes catching yo-yo on the string easy. This thing seems solid and sleeps well.

Out of the box it doesnt respond well for learning tricks with the string provided
That said overall build quality and feel of this yoyo are top notch

I had childhood experiences with many different typesthis almost handles like an unresponsive yoyo with very little feedback to get it out of 34sleep34

It is unresponsive so you can easily perform string tricks

First of all there is much more of a polished finish resulting in a way lighter color than what appears in the images

So its definitely not good for beginners unless you swap out the string
