It’s much less expensive than the commercially prepared brands, has no preservatives and can be made with any percentage of fat in milk. A great fix for the gut.

Using the by-product of making kefir will not produce the same result. Kefir grains and what they produce is un-duplicatable. These aren't real kefir grains. How can they justify calling it a 'kefir starter' when it's not even in the box?
