Pros & Cons
Pros
They work great when they're manufactured correctly. Good gear ratio, easy installation.
Drilling in reverse is unconventional and a little slow, but it's only slightly enlarging the hole. Bought these to replace a set of friction pegs in a 1964 lark concert ukulele. Only one mistake on my part.
Cons
There’s no size indication and the diameter of these things is absolutely massive for a ukulele. In addition, the quality is very poor. Looks like these are a * shoot.

Price

For my hack install i only had a brad point bit handy so i used a tapered reamer to open both sides of the hole until the tip of the bit would just enter to minimize damage and then finished the hole to dimension by turning the drill bit in reverse
