You can make a circuit with a 555 timer that will give you the manual mode

I use mine on my heli cyclic servos 1520 ups and today ill be seeing if it works on my bk ds5001 mini tail servo not sure it will because on the packaging it says from 8001550 or very close to that

I picked up the cheap version thin plastic covering on all sides except the two ends for 6 at my local hobby shop
