I bought this because i was reasonably certain it was either the starter or the solenoid on my john deere l111 lawn tractor

However when i turned the key it would do a lot of clicking but the starter wouldnt engage and turn over the engine

I would have been surprised if the starter was shot because every time before the starter motor ran strong and turned over fast

Jump the solenoid and it worked so i thought the solenoid was bad
