It's really sturdy. It's heavily built and has very little wobble in the parts. The job it does is fantastic.

It's very accurate when you line up your paper and stack it just right. Heavy duty, ruler grid is accurate.

Some tips for clamping. It's pretty easy to tighten and loosen, even one handed. The clamp is necessary for holding thick pieces.

Cons

It takes a lot of force to pull the handle (lots of friction) it's oily and dirty when it arrives. Handle is a little on the flimsy side and keeps unscrewing. This particular item was not machined correctly and was crooked.

Just remember when cutting a stack of paper you need to clamp down the paper before you cut it otherwise the cut will come out all crooked and your paper will be ruined

The piece on the yaxis that is supposed to help you align the paper is made of cheap plastic and it does not stay perpendicular to the xaxis

Posted by a reviewer on Amazon

You have to keep the paper perpendicular to the xaxis by hand

Luckily it cuts over 400 sheets all at once so if your book has a smaller number of sheets than that it will at least look ok
