I use these to extend ir repeaters for remote control of a/v closets that are hundreds of feet away.
Cons
Seemed great at first. The cable is now garbage, but luckily the speaker was spared.

You definitely loose a little sound quality volume sending the signal over a 100 cable but it wasnt bad enough for anyone to notice
