Pros

Yardmax maul weighs 120 pounds and is very heavy. The machine is very solid and easy to use. Wal-mart is the best place to buy a maul.

This is an excellent log splitter for the homeowner who doesn't want or need a gas-powered, large machine. I'm am amazed at the power and quiet operation when handling logs nearing 12 inches in diameter. This splitter is perfect for us.

The upside is that that heft is what makes this a solid device for the job. The really cool thing is that you can operate it indoors and standing.

Cons

The splitter was delivered in a damaged box with the hydraulic oil plug off. I like the product, but i still can't bolt it together, so it falls apart when i move it.

Dont know how long it will last but out of the gate im very happy with the value
