Lots of people ask if the instrument is chromatic. The mouthpiece and reed can be cleaned with the use of a gauze pad.

Cons

This is a chromatic instrument, or so it claims to be in the manual. It's far more difficult to play than a recorder, and more difficult than a sax.

It's so unfortunate because the venova is a really interesting idea. My conclusion is the instrument is a prototype and not ready for prime-time. It’s definitely not a “casual wind instrument” as advertised.
