Pros & Cons
Pros
Built in tuner, aux-in and headphone out are all an added bonus. Usb capabilities, neat tuner and quick tone switches makes this a very versatile amp.
Yamaha thr5a is a great little practice amp. Works well with electric and acoustic guitars. Small enough to fit in a cupboard.
The onboard effects (the usual chorus, flanger, phaser and tremolo) are pretty good. The inbuilt effects are alsotop quality.
The retro look is cool, has to be a 5 out of 5 for me. The amp modeling is decent, the effects are also pretty good. The clean amp is brilliant for jazz and the modern is great for high-gain distorted riffs.
Metal frame feels quality and there are cute touches like the tactile power switch.
Cons
The sound rings out dreadfully when i play making them unusable.
