The yamaha rx-a830 is an * bliss for your ears. The speakers i use are the polk monitor 50's, an infinity primus pc251center channel, bose 161's for the side backs, polks for the rear surround and 2 polk subwoofers. This amp runs very cool only gets a... Read More

Everything is in sync and even my younger daughters have figured it out. Fairly easy to set up if you're not technologically challenged. Have had no issues with setup or use.

Everything switches over flawlessly, and looks as crisp as possible. Hdmi switching is very easy and quickly operated from most areas of the room. Hdmi setup especially a breeze.

No regrets on dropping $* on it. This thing is amazing. Very satisfied with the quality of this purchase.

The only thing missing is the support of the newer codecs, like dolby atmos and dts xneo. There's not to much media that actually supports those codecs yet. Outside of a theater, i'm not sure i've heard dolby digital produced this well.

Cons

The mic auto setup is somewhat of a joke. Airplay crashes every so often but it's not terrible. There is zero response.

I did a lot of reading and visited a few electronics stores before i landed on the aventage series from yamaha

What i wanted was the same quality i had gotten from the a820
