There are several complaints around the web about stripped hardware and they seem to be accurate

Though there is a bit of rust where the connections are as the paint was scratched off during assembly

In order to get the stripped screw out i took a chisel and a hammer and banged the head of the screw off then took middle nose pliers and removed the problem which was inside the tube

Unfortunately some rust on screws and the powder coating is not especially robust

I see other suvs out there with a cheap skinny carrier and it makes the car look bad
