Cons
Cumbersome and wobbles in the appropriate hitch receiver. The stem that inserts into the hitch receiver is too small and causes it to wobble. Every bump we go over, it wobbles all over.
This goes back to amazon. Scratched 3 expensive bikes and need to try to fix the scratches. Used it once.
Rubber attachment pieces are too loose or too tight, really wear out your fingers getting them snapped in. The rubber straps that secure the bike have a hole in them that you are supposed to put on a tab. I plan to contact yakima to see if i can get i... Read More

Quality
It feels sturdy and wellconstructed and i have no doubt that it will last for years to come
Very easy to assemble and fit and finish did not disappoint
Only used for a month and the plastic is already starting to fade
Ended up finding a 6ft masterlock cable and locked one end to my tow hook holes on the receiver and the other end looped around the bikes
Price
For the lower price for a solidly built albeit discontinued bike rack im happy with the purchase
It is pretty good if you get it on sale
Not sure its worth full price though

Weve got some avid bikers in the family and this clicks into place fairly quickly and securely

The ugly just the box it came in as it was damaged but the rack inside was unharmed
Even though it is a discontinued product it arrived in a fully sealed undamaged original box

The bad it is sold as a 4 bike rack that is generous and pushing it but can can been done just not easy

Platform bike racks are all the rage but this hanger model lasted us 10 yrs so this one should be good for another 10

Price is definitely less expensive than products yakima is selling now although the ridgeback tiltaway rack designed for four bikes does show a price drop from 379 to 303

I bought the yakima hitchlock thinking that would work but a few tugs after locking it in place and it fell off
