However i did not take into account that on our 2015 chevy colorado short bed the clamp location is to far towards the middle of the truck bed and does not leave enough space for your bike with the tail gate up

Sadly i have to return this one and purchase the thule bed rider 822xt which does not have the same nice design

You definitely do not want to nor do you need to overtighten the fixing screw for the plastic blocks

Did not include lock sets for the bike clamps as indicated in product description which states all 4 lock sets are included

A couple turns with the provided allen key had the bar tight and the bikes never moved

This was also used in conjunction with towing our camper when more traditional hitch mounted racks just would not work
