Highlights
Quality
This helps me provide quality feedback in the future.
For action cams and dslrs, you should be just fine with the mic plugged directly in (no adapters or anything).
For the price, this is a fantastic microphone solution that you wouldn't be disappointed with.
Competitiveness
i use this on my nikon d5300.
5mm adapter and your phone may (most likely) require a trrs 3.
Overall, it’s not a bad mic for the price (~$35).

Another thing to note on my dslr the cover on the audio input prevents it from pointing forward all the way

Either way i can still get good audio without it being directly pointing in front of the camera

It might be worth checking that out on whatever camera you are using though

Comica cvmvs10mini 2channel stereo external camera micbottom line this mic will definitely be an improvement over a builtin camera microphone and has some key benefits however it would not be my first choice as an allaround vlogging or general purpose mic due to a few quirks
