That said after contacting the manufacturer with my complaint they immediately responded by sending a new light and did not require that i return the old one

In the description and the instructions instructions are only on the outside of the box so dont throw it away until you are familiar with all of the features it tells you that a red light will come on while it is charging

What they dont tell you is that the light turns from red to green when it is fully charged if it is in the charging port
