It actually comes with an absolutely discharged battery but that isnt an issue have it charged overnight and make sure it is turned off

Youll see in the charger box a steady red light which means it is charging

He had the same issue with it as i did randomly stopping though i attributed it to perhaps being too heavy for the motorbattery and overworking it

If you are less than 140lbs are commuting not too far live somewhere very dry and very flat with moderate temperatures year round this would probably work quite fine for you
