Pros & Cons
Pros
The xikar torchtorch is a great lighter for collector cigars. The unit has a nice fuel level gauge on the side that's easy to read.

It also comes in a very nice box which looked great and packed the lighter with adequate cushioning but ultimately i wasnt going to keep the lighter in its box all the time so i ended up tossing it

Theres a note that comes with the lighter telling you to only use xikar fuel because other fuels might clog the burners but it wasnt clear to me if that was a requirement of the warranty or not

The second observation is that on a medium setting the lighter burns through fuel quite rapidly going from full to empty in maybe 2530 cigar lights but given the quad burners and the size of the flame that isnt really so much a design flaw to me as just a reality you have to accept if you want those big powerful torches

The shield itself is a nice touch as it helps keep the torches clean and working well but unless you just leave the cover open all the time you can find yourself with a cigar in one hand and the lighter in the other trying to awkwardly twist the top of the unit to open the shield which is a little uncomfortable given the size and weight
