I dont have much experience with road bike shorts to compare with but the xgc mens cycling shorts padding is great and the legs do not ride up

This is the only pair of riding shorts that are considered an under liner that are heavy grade materials

The fit padding and fabric are fine just not sure about the piece of fabric on the legs its not bad just doesnt do anything
