I was worried that because it was very cheap compared to manfrotto heads for example that it wouldnt be that good

The only reason for 4star review is that the dring to tighten the qr plate to the camera gets in the way and makes it difficult to slide the plate into the head

But the threaded center hole in the bottom which attaches to the tripod is 38 rather than 14

In use i use the knob on the right to adjust some drag on the head and the knob on the left to actually lock the head down while holding the camera by its grip

It required the camera to be on a slide nodal rail so the entire rig was quite heavy and the ecsource ball head held the entire unit quite well

However once it arrived i in packaged it installed it and attempted to mount my camera to the ball head using the arca plate from my gimbal head

Once tightened properly i have not noticed any camera creep even with a heavy lens mounted
