X10 home automation is relatively primitive but relatively inexpensive. Added this to an existing system to add a decoder for a new house code. When switching on and off module number one, the relay in this unit is much quieter than older models.

Ive been using x10 products for decades and id never give them up for wifi products

When you use software and wifi to control your lights and appliances the software maker may log your habits and sell them to the highest bidder
