It is so sleek and modern looking. It is really aesthetically pleasing to the eye.
The unit is near, maybe a touch bulkier than just a smoke unit on its own. It has an inbuilt battery that lasts for 10 years (it needs to be thrown away after this time) no messing with batteries etc - great for safety and practicality.
The alarm is nice and loud at 85 decibels. If the co alarm sounds, it's time to make a break for the nearest exit- no matter how many people you have to shove out of your path. The siren is loud and piercing, you won't sleep though it!
It comes with pads to make it airtight against the ceiling / wall. The 360 degree design with air vents allows the detector to be mounted on a ceiling. I've put this near the boiler, the boiler itself has a good flue going straight out the wall.

Thankfully the alarm hasnt activated yet but based on the test if it does it will be heard

You get a five year warranty but the lithium built in battery lasts for 10 years

When the battery is low a yellow light will flash and a beep will sound every 60 seconds
