The conclusion is clearly rushed though and feels like the ending of the blue and red lines of xbooks have clearly caused this to be a somewhat botched 11issue ran

Part of it is the era he inherited this was right before disney acquired fox and got the xmen movie rights back and so they were downplaying the xmen at marvel comics and focusing more on the inhumans

Its just a very bland era where half the xmen are dead and replaced by alternate versions of themselves

The team in xmen red features x23 who people love aesthetically but who really doesnt have much personality
